AIT have been awarded a position on ESPO (Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation) framework 978 ‘Online Payment and Engagement Solutions & Cashless Catering Systems’ to supply Cashless Catering Systems.

This national framework offers many benefits to organisations such as schools, academies, colleges and universities seeking a quick, secure and convenient way for students, parents and carers to benefit from a cashless catering system. Organisations will see improved processes, easier stock management, quicker service times and management information including oversight of what pupils are eating. For pupils stigma is removed from the individual as no cash is transferred at the point of sale and as service times are quicker students no longer will feel rushed or be delayed returning to lessons.

Organisations also benefit from reduced cash handling, processing and banking. Transaction processing costs are reduced as well, often significantly which results in considerable savings.

The Cashless Catering System (Monitor EPoS) can also provide online payments allowing a user or parent to pay into their account. Alternatively, the solution will integrate seamlessly with existing online payment systems, so whether you have an online payment system, need one or are simply looking for a standalone cashless catering solution, Monitor EPoS has the answer.

Monitor EPoS need not be restricted to the realms of the canteen, other point of sale needs such as uniform, stationery shops or art supplies outlets will also benefit from Monitor EPoS’s feature rich functionality.

Photo identification is available as a secondary identifier, which is particularly useful for the management of free school meals ensuring the right person is receiving the free meal. Other features include; different prices for different users and the ability to make some users or products exempt from VAT or applied at a reduced rate. Users can be incentivised with rewards, promotions and gift vouchers schemes whilst the online ordering module allows users to pre-order goods and services online. Profit loss reports can be generated on a schedule basis and should communication to the data server ever fail, Monitor EPoS can cache transactions locally until connection has been restored meaning there is no loss of service.
